Organ responsible for absorption of most nutrients
Good Day...
The organ responsible for absorption of most nutrients is the small intestine. To be specific Jejunum and ileum.
The small intestine is divided into 3 parts -- duodenum, jejunum, and ileum.
Duodenum - 90% of the digestion process occurs in the duodenum. It received the process foods from the stomach. Pancreas and gallbladder secrets chemicals to the duodenum which aid in the digestion process.
Jejunum - receives the process food from the duodenum and 90% of the absorption will occur in the jejunum.
Ileum - important absorption will occur in the ileum. Ileum will absorbs the nutrients that was not absorbed in the jejunum.
Hope it helps...=)
